I'm just about to hop on a train and make my way up to Milton Keynes for the first time, where tomorrow I'm an external examiner for one of the Open University 's PhD candidates. The book is simply and concisely entitled: Web 2.0-Based e-Learning and is aimed at those working in further and higher education. The chapter traces how students represent the structure of their personal learning environments, and their distributed potential.

Reaction to IMS Learning Impact 2012 Conference

We may have all been drinking the same cool-aid, but at the IMS Global Learning Consortium Learning Impact Conference in Toronto, there was a meeting of the minds. LTI (Learning Tool Interoperability) in particular has cracked the LMS open. The learning tools that were previously only native to the LMS are now are externalized from the LMS, and enabled as cloud-based “tools.” Individualized Learning.
