I note this, because this post covers my new Learning Systems RFP Template , which includes the latest NexGen Tier 4 feature sets. Why one RFP instead of specific ones for LXP and LMS? When see the template you are going to be like “this is a lot of features and categories, no vendor will complete all of this.”

1%, the pr you see, seems to indicate a massive upheaval in the M&A angle, especially in the learning system space. . Yet one of the items that is never mentioned are the customers and employees of the vendor who has been acquired. From my experience, vendors do have some options. See if there any loopholes.

Over 1,300 vendors in the industry (inc. all subsets of the LMS space). Significant increase in the number of VCs and Private Equity firms seeking out LMS vendors to invest in and/or acquire. Seeing a plus rate of folks switching from one vendor to another (plus means above average – beyond normal). Vibe Trend.

Now, lately what I’ve seen are some vendors hitting the mark, but others showing off very slick graphs via circle donuts as we say, or compass looking things. A “showroom” experience – and you will see it with some of the booths (vendors pay for that size of space and it is expensive), is part of this approach.

Nowadays though, vendors have changed the message to mean e-learning as in e-learning courses and not an umbrella term. . On the learning system side, I see it all too well. What is a sales enablement platform and why if they pitch it for sales training, does it offer customer service training too?

These two vendors are EdCast and Degreed. Getting back to being unaware, I find the same issue with a few vendors in the learning system space who are really LXPs, but have no idea. It reminded me of the vendors in the space who scream they are not an LMS, even though they hit all the standards of an LMS. .
