I received an inquiry about the need for a low cost LMS solution and I've not had time to help this person with answers. Situation description: I have talked to several vendors and have received quotes at the 6-8k (per year) range for the licensing. The development of e-Learning is being done through Captivate, so I do not need a system with authoring capabilities. costs that can exceed license costs.

I remember presenting a seminar at ATD, I think it was 2017 on immersive learning tied around AR, VR and MR. Then in 2018 the floodgates opened at ATD started to have quite a few sessions on VR. eLearning Guild ended their mobile learning show and jumped over to one on immersive learning (with many sessions on VR). . Numerous publications cited these companies with VR for learning. VR – Immersive Learning with Other Tools. Cost is unknown.
