Online learning – which EdTech refers to as remote learning (I guess remote viewing was unavailable because the CIA tried it during the Cold War). Many “experts, including some analysts,” use learning systems to refer to all learning systems except an LMS. Thus, This makes no sense to me.

A Look Back at 2020 for E-Learning

I will go thru several areas for e-learning, not just learning systems, although by far, it will be the most, since a lot has happened in 2020. . But overall, in my opinion, EdTech also showed all its weaknesses front and center, and way too many vendors were unprepared for the numbers of schools, universities, colleges, etc.
