eLearning 24-7

Lectora’s Snap! is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other. Lectora Snap! Channel – of course if your company blocks all social media sites – I guess you are hitting the Snap! Lectora compares this product to Articulate Engage and frankly I think that is a mistake. authoring tools e-learning e-learning vendors Lectora Product Review Snap!

However, there is still a steep learning curve understanding all of Lectora’s power and control.

New E-Learning Rankings: Authoring Tools

eLearning 24-7

The new iSpring Pro 7 – currently in beta adds additional powerhouse features, including PPT to HTML5 output (which right now is a standalone product). #8 While their Slideshark app for the iPad is nifty, it is not the only product that showcases PPT and is free. Yeah it is another PPT spin product but does stand out. #5 Lectora on the list? Everyone loves lists. Lists for the best books written in 1899 (right?),

2014 Authoring Tools – State of Affairs

eLearning 24-7

Social – Snooze. Use of PowerPoint in rapid content authoring tools – this has been a big irritant of mine, since the days when PPT first made its appearance in rapid content authoring tools. Some vendors use chapter-page approach with PPT, but there are plenty who do not (why?). Studio always has done a great job with their PPT integration because they use the right terminology, and offer a TOC, offering non-linear for those that want it.

It works within PowerPoint so that any one who knows PPT can quickly come up to speed to create a nice looking presentation. Lectora I choose Lectora as the next piece of my tool kit. Lectora has the option to import from PowerPoint so I can still use PowerPoint to storyboard the content. Articulate and Lectora do not do simulations. My current plan is to use Captivate to create flash simulations that can be embedded in content created by Articulate or Lectora.

State of the E-Learning Industry 2017

eLearning 24-7

Social learning tools (not the same as a Social Learning Platform). LMS and subsets including Video Learning Platforms, Knowledge Management Platforms, Social Learning Platforms; Learning Platforms, Sales Enablement Platforms. Social Learning Platforms. Social engagement has never been overpowering in any SLP. Basics include the convert PPT into a course (yuck). Lectora Online. Social Learning tools. It’s that time of the year.

Times are changing – trends in the content authoring tool market

eLearning 24-7

Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? It has blown past social learning, and continues to roll. Most people assume that Articulate, Lectora and Captivate are the best tools out there, that is no longer the case. As the rapid content authoring market continues to grow, new features and capabilities are equally growing. For the most part, that is a great thing, but as you are about to read, some are not.
