Then I’d recommend taking a topic and storyboarding, testing, refining, prototyping, testing, and refining. I don’t really care how you prototype: it can be PPT, raw html, whatever. Apparently Udutu is free to author in, and there are lots of tools out there, SmartBuilder, Lectora, etc.

It works within PowerPoint so that any one who knows PPT can quickly come up to speed to create a nice looking presentation. I choose Lectora as the next piece of my tool kit. Lectora has the option to import from PowerPoint so I can still use PowerPoint to storyboard the content.

PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Yes, you can use it for many different things, and yes, Microsoft has an add-on that turns PPT into something similar to Adobe Presenter. PowerPoint is presentation software.

Recently added the ability to publish a storyboard in Microsoft Word. Lectora Online is solid but really not anywhere near the Inspire (desktop product) which is a real shame. Lectora needs a change, a new attitude if you will, and with a new CEO on board, I think it is going to happen. . Sitting outside the fence.
