Windows: Mac: 5. In the Save Window, select the desired location and then save your image as a PNG file. WINDOWS: Mac: 9. For Windows, Copy or Cut the Signature PNG file from a Windows Explorer window and navigate to C: > Program Files > TechSmith > Snagit > Stamps and Paste your PNG file.

If you are using a screenshot or a PNG image, it will default to have a transparent background. To do this, simply click Image > Canvas Color (on Windows) or Edit > Change Canvas Color… (on Mac). Step 5: Save your image as a PNG. If you don’t save your image as a PNG file it will default your background to white.

Instead of the plain gray screen shown above, I want my learners to see the image below (I created the image with an image-editing program and saved it as a PNG.). To use the image as the startup screen, open the project’s Preferences dialog box via Edit > Preferences (PC) or Adobe Captivate > Preferences (Mac).

Note: You have a choice of either JPEG or PNG from the Format drop-down menu. If you were posting images to the internet it might be in your best interest to choose PNG. When the Send to iPhoto dialog box opens, ensure your options match the picture below. Click Send to iPhoto. The iPhoto window opens with your imported slides.

One of our top requests for Snagit Mac is to quickly save a group of captures all at once. This will allow you to quickly view all of your autosave captures and save them to common formats (PNG, JPG, etc.). This will create a soft proof of colors to simulate standard Mac OS color palette; hence it will help choose colors and contrast. Image Formats: png should be your preferred format (as against.gif) as it has greater color depth and is fully lossless with variable transparency.

On a Mac, just double click the zip file. For Snagit for the Mac, you can unzip the file and drag the png mustache file to Snagit's tray and then combine it with your screencapture to use. Then unzip the file. If you're on a PC, here's how.
