A discussion of programming languages at TechSmith can be split into two categories. Windows and Mac. On the Mac, most of our code is written in Objective-C with Cocoa. Cross Platform.

Keep in mind, Snagit is not as sophisticated as a professional editing program like Photoshop, and it may not work to delete the background from a photo or image with complex backgrounds. To do this, simply click Image > Canvas Color (on Windows) or Edit > Change Canvas Color… (on Mac). Step 5: Save your image as a PNG.

By removing noise on the timeline you save the trouble of importing and exporting back and forth from an external program like Audacity, and it’s much easier to make changes quickly. That program was ahead of its time, allowing you to capture your mouse actions, add captions and audio, and then publish into a video format that could be viewed on most computers. It was pretty much a record-pray-publish kind of tool.

In October 2013, an eLearning Guild report showed the most common authoring tools were Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Studio, and Trivantis Lectora, and those tools are still leaders in this market. I am not aware of any plans for a Mac version. Adobe Captivate and Lectora offer responsive design.
