15 years ago I got a job as an instructional designer/multimedia producer at a company that created training programs delivered on CD ROMS. We had moved away from proprietary and were now using Macromedia Director. We created custom elearning programs in Flash. We also created our own proprietary Learning Portal.

SCOs are web-based and script-enabled – consisting of HTML, Javascript and any other client-side technology (images, Macromedia Flash, etc).
