Revenues across the board are up, profit margins are healthy and competition is on-going (always a good thing). Illogical – I often see systems that add features that seem as though they tossed a bunch of ideas on a wall and whatever stuck up there, went into their platform. A huge problem in the space. The Negatives.

The problem is that the majority of systems believe that ad-hoc reporting solves the advanced analytical data angle. Yet, they can’t give up on their ILT approach or classroom offerings (even though webinars are equal if not better then many ILT and WBT is far superior to anything ILT). Consumers are saying – no more.

The problem here is that they developed a solution that is not made for 10,000 or more end users. While the global economy has yet to fully reverse itself, it is clear that many vendors believe it is, or realize that potential clients have no problem paying for it. In 2011, the trend is showing that those days are gone. Bonus Trend.
