I've run across a couple of interesting posts recently that seem to have spawned from a Business Week article - Scaling the Social Web. Hasn't eBay had social networking features for a long time? all have a social networking aspect to them? The point is that its probably natural for lots of sites to have social networking type features and functions for visitors. This is something we are commonly doing on sites today.

Today I’m having a little fun asking my friends on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ to share in what order they favor the big four Social Networking sites out there. As you can see by my tweet at the top of this post, for me it’s Twitter first, Google+ second, Facebook third and LinkedIn last.

I noticed that I use more and more social media tools and different tools to communicate. These streams can be fed by other tools like Twitter, Linkedin and Google reader and I love it. It also has a magazine like interface and the advantage is that you will get information from outside your standard network. I also use aggregation sites, they will select information for you and inform you on a daily or weekly basis on interesting posts.

My quick answer was that Jane Hart’s site , eLearning Learning and The eLearning Guild would be among the top.
