Meridian - Another Top 25 LMS vendor. SumTotal - Another Top 30 LMS vendor and when I have been able to see the product, I continue to see improvements. I have a better chance of shooting a toy rocket into outer space and having it land on the moon, then having a full one on one demo with SumTotal.

I identify the Big Dogs as SumTotal by Skillsoft (yes, that is the actual name), Cornerstone OnDemand, Saba, SucessFactors and Oracle Taleo (although, I ask myself who is using this and if you still are why?). SumTotal by Skillsoft – the 2016 re-haul is a huge plus. SumTotal by Skillsoft. Saba Learning. Matrix LMS.

10 – Meridian - Despite a web site that should be kicked into outer space (hello, update?), SumTotal is also coming out with a new UI for their learning side. 11 Meridian Global - Don’t let the web site fool you – because it really needs an overhaul, this is a strong system. Curious to know where SumTotal, Cornerstone, Saba and SuccessFactors ended up? Because a system that has added so much cannot stop. It needs more, because we all will expect it. At least I am. Bottom Line.

For the past several years during selection I've found that they trail Saba and SumTotal on needed capabilities and they were hard to use for particular tasks that were important to the clients involved. The fact I read it… Meridian KSI. If the release delivers than Meridian could easily slide back into the good ranking. If I was to compare the Big Dog Four – SuccessFactors, Saba, Cornerstone OnDemand and SumTotal by Skillsoft, Saba would win hands down. SumTotal by Skillsoft. Can the system be improved?

20 SumTotal - Love the new UI, but the system still needs a few tweaks here and there. 9 Meridian Global - Revamped UI, multi-tenant and on/off synch with responsive for their mobile. #8 Cornerstone OnDemand (#24), Saba (#50). As previously noted, just because you are well known does not mean you are the best system out there.
