PowerPoint still reigns – If you are a course purist, the idea that PPT should be seen as an authoring tool should make you grumble with disgust. . Strange, since I could find no evidence, no information from multiple research standpoints, that Microsoft pitches it an authoring tool. PowerPoint is presentation software.

If you are wondering if the “publish once to all” means the vendor is using PENS, the answer is no, they are not using PENS. . However, I think every SaaS authoring tool vendor should use PENS. . Recently added the ability to publish a storyboard in Microsoft Word. First AT vendor to use PENS.

When you open the default Microsoft Office template and want to change the color of something, you see the standard PowerPoint color picker: The ten colors at the top are Theme Colors. We’d encourage any brand-aware readers to put pen to paper and ask Microsoft what they were thinking?!

Microsoft Word converted to Flash? An alarming rate of “get the content up now, ASAP&# regardless of what it looks like, instructional design is typically tossed out the window, especially when the ID, CD or whomever is tasked to create is handed a stream of documents in Word or PPT or some other form.
