eLearning 24-7

Well, not yet, but it is coming up and with that are all those wonderful vendors and that magical expo. But one of the biggest problems I see at such shows are the number of vendors who in hindsight I wished I avoided. I recall at ATD this past year, a vendor who was trying to sell people ahead of time their LMS. And, because many of the other vendors who are here at HR Tech, really are just average to poor (but not everyone). Welcome, welcome all!

What I am hearing and seeing in E-Learning

eLearning 24-7

It comes from me talking to vendors, buyers, monitoring the industry all the while taking notes and seeing the trends/patterns appear right before my eyes. What has always amazed me are number of e-learning vendor web sites whose design looks like it came from 1995 when Netscape ruled the land. Bewildered on what is happening, why what is needed isn’t appearing as it should, and how is it possible that something so obvious based on where e-learning is heading, mobile is pushing and future tech is inspiring is lost among so many vendors? Confusion leads to flushed in terms of causation that some vendors in their infinite wisdom have decided it is better to jump one way than stay the course. I know of one vendor who has a review checker and it works quite well.

Expect a few commercial vendors to jump into the augmented reality space for e-learning.

Bridge over troubled authoring tool waters

Why are some vendors making it impossible? Why are some vendors treating you as a spy or something sinister when you just want to try out the product?
