My methodology: Rapid = Tool designed for SME with no page design, authoring, or programming experience (this doesn’t exclude tools with additional functionality for advanced users). I’ve been slicing and dicing our Authoring Tool KnowledgeBase and doing some online research in response to a question about collaborative rapid authoring tools that developers in multiple locations can use.

We just surveyed 800+ worldwide training directors and CLOs and found that 83% feel they have a significant or urgent need to change their learning programs to deal with the learning styles of younger workers. As I read the blog I'd like to post a few updates on our research and predictions for e-learning in 2008.

We are attempting to stay ahead of the curve by allowing our customers to include these tools into a variety of Learning Programs. Both of these could be part of a larger Learning Program that includes more traditional online or ILT based training - all of which are delivered and reported on via the LMS. Mzinga. Probably just three years ago, if you said Element K I would have immediately thought about off-the-shelf courseware.
