I understand this list is more inclined towards tools that learning professionals use for their own learning as opposed to those used for creating learning programs or training sessions. Delicious – social bookmarking tool. Facebook – social networking site. YouTube – video hosting and sharing tool.

Social learning refers to a class of learning, which includes wikis, blogs, screen sharing, podcasting, photo sharing, social bookmarking, collaborative working, social networking, etc. Social learning (small S, small L) does not refer to the use of social media in top-down, formal learning.

Jet Blue University (their internal corporate university that I recently heard being discussed on Knowledge @ Wharton) is using Awareness Networks ' platform to work collaboratively on projects between employees in disparate locations and programs and to share best practices on how to train JetBlue crew members.
