Xerceo is a new WIKI that just hit my inbox. But I'm sure this is something we will begin to see in the open source products soon as well. So, I've had no time to use it and therefore this is NOT a review. Its the concept that interests me. However, its been a tough nut to crack.

I have not had much luck with open source LMS programs, mainly because of technical limitations on our part. Tim Seager of Xerceo posted about this issue and suggested a some resources: GSA Advantage - This is a very interesting site to visit and see pricing that's been established by contract with the government.

Or maybe you just use an open-source or free. However, if you are really authoring several hours of content and are going to take this seriously as a business, it would seem like that should be a good investment. But I'd rather not have to learn all the quirks of one of these platforms. Other Requirements? eLearning Technology.
