It has helped me to develop my personal learning network (PLN) and enabled my PKM. I’m going to take a step back and examine the world we live in today and how the notion of work has changed. The ecosystem we operate in is volatile with rising complexity & ambiguity – the quintessential VUCA world.

It has helped me to develop my personal learning network (PLN) and enabled my PKM. Given this VUCA world, it is imperative for and incumbent on all of us to remain learning agile and relevant. Today’s work requires us to collaborate with folks we have never met, often from the other side of the world.

While the title of the post specifies MOOCs, the skills and mindsets I have explored in the post are, IMHO, required by all to survive and thrive in the digital and connected world. Having said that, MOOCs require certain skills from participants, which I like to describe as " learning how to learn in the networked world."

In this regard, it is so inspiring to see organizational culture going “open source”! Companies such as InMobi are open-sourcing their culture to enable mutual sharing and learning. What is the significance of ’open sourcing’ culture in this age of Working Out Loud (WoL)? It looks like the future of work will not look like work.
