I was curious what the option would do, so I enabled it and published a SWF. When the lesson opened in my web browser, the value of the option became clear. Simply open a document and, if you've got Adobe Acrobat on your computer, choose  Adobe PDF  when you print.     After clicking where I wanted the simulation to appear, I chose  File > Import > File  and opened a SWF I had published earlier using Adobe Captivate.

Prior to publishing a lesson, choose Project > HTML5 Tracker to open the HTML5 Tracker (shown below). If the learner is going to use a standard Windows PC or Macintosh computer, SWF output is fine. Open or create a topic and choose  Import > Adobe Captivate Demo.

First, create a SWF file of the logo you would like to use on the playbar in place of the Adobe logo. Give the new SWF the following name:  logo.swf. The common way to publish a completed Captivate eLearning video is as a SWF (small web file). When the publish process is complete, you will end up with three files: an HTML file (which is what your learner will need to open the lesson in a web browser), a JavaScript file (called standard.js) and the SWF containing your lesson.

If you publish your Captivate projects as SWFs, you can combine multiple SWF files into one lesson using the Aggregator. Once added to an Aggregator project, you can publish the combined files as a SWF, EXE file, PDF or HTML. The published Aggregator file will include a TOC using the names of the separate SWF files.

From the  Welcome  screen, select  From Microsoft PowerPoint , open the PowerPoint presentation and a few clicks later, the presentation will be reborn as a Captivate project. During a standard PowerPoint import process, PowerPoint pptx presentations are first converted to the ppt format, and then converted to SWF.

Effects are not played fully in SWF, when the effect duration is less than the default effect duration. Distortion issues (objects with in-built states appearing to jump) that occur when responsive projects containing objects with in-built states are opened. In the SWF Size and Quality area, I set the quality to Medium. Open a Captivate project and set your Preferences. Choose File > Export > Preferences to open the Save As dialog box. Open another Captivate project (or create a new project). Open another Captivate project (or create a new project). Click Save.

Open the presentation that you want to convert into an eLearning course. Open Adobe Captivate. In the Publish dialog, select the SWF/HTML5 tab (top left).
