Social learning is not a new concept or a new term; we’ve always learned socially – from our parents, siblings, friends and from our colleagues at work. But a new definition of social learning has emerged in recent years; one that implies the use of social technology for learning. Many purists are uncomfortable with this new definition, since it is clear that you don’t actually need social tools for social learning to take place.
