We could learn Hypercard or we could learn Toolbook. I had chosen the corporate track so I selected Toolbook. But luckily the other student that knew toolbook knew it REALLY well and I learned a lot. Say what you will about Mac vs. PC, but I've NEVER met a person unhappy about switching to a Mac. Again, a huge let down.

The main focus of the project was a perceptual speed task based on an ability test that measures how quickly a person can scan objects and detect similarities and differences. Back in the day, this was basically how we set up OpenScript within the Toolbook object hierarchy. System assigned performance “Level” based on quiz performance.

I’ve expanded to using Toolbook and other software. So far my personal experience is limited to Toolbook and Articulate as authoring tools. For the more advanced user, or anyone authoring eLearning full time, Toolbook, Adobe , and Lectora offer suites of software that are state-of-the-art.
