Nice selection of vendors – in general. More vendors showing off their products then in the past – still a couple believe that a poster board will do the trick. Wi-Fi worked a lot better, but vendors and end users still had issues inside the expo hall. I heard this happen to two vendors.

I mean the first Storyline, sweet and then here comes a new version, from a company not known to push out new products for a period of years – must rock. Screams more like an advanced sequel to Studio than a robust new version of Storyline 2. In this new version of Storyline 2, not needed. I kid you not. Then I used it.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Vendor adoption is slow. It isn’t.

I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution. tv - free up to 24 users, limited features in the freebie version, other options available but are fee based. For whatever reason- okay to try to set themselves apart – some vendors have created the term “training management” Honestly, they could call it “online authoring system with a few reports and no frills” and it would be the same thing. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc.

Each PowerPoint slide appears in order, following your PPT order. For example: your first PPT slide is on the timeline then you add a word document, next an image file, another slide (your 2nd one in the deck u uploaded), then audio/movie and so on. ppt slide, quiz, image, etc.).
