Right click this selection to save as a picture (right-click> Save as Picture >PNG). Be sure to save as a PNG. Multi-select the two shapes you created (holding down SHIFT or CTRL while selecting them). Use the visibility icon in the timeline to hide your shapes (poke them in the eye).

The older DOC format converts all images to RGB PNG files. More importantly, InDesign can access the original high-resolution images when you place a DOCX file, even if they’re CMYK. This tip courtesy of InDesign Secrets… we just HAD to share!

In the File Name field, give the QR code a name (it will be saved as a PNG image) and specify a storage location. Open or create a FrameMaker document and click where you want the QR code. Choose Special > Generate QR Code to open the QR Code Builder.

The main benefits of JPG and PNG: JPG uses lossy compression, compromising some quality, but making the file size smaller and more easily shared. PNG files support transparency, and are lossless (necessary if there is still editing to be done on the file).

It’s even possible to save as a PNG with a transparent background. All this editing power would be useless if you couldn’t export your changes out of PowerPoint. The logos are on multiple master slides and are png files. They don’t have Captivate and don’t want us to replace images and republish multiple modules every time they want to resell the courses. They haven’t asked yet, but we know the client’s name is also on the TOC/project info.

The Back Story: In the previous versions of Adobe Captivate such as 7, 8, and 9 (before updating to version 9.0.2.437) the individual loose files such as png, smartshapes, and text captions from the project’s HTML5 output were stored in the dr folder. The file is a PNG so the inside of the frame is transparent, allowing you to place it over any image you like and have it look like a framed picture. Sometimes you need an image to supplement your course, but just slapping down a picture all by itself might not cut it. Cutaway diagram.

After combining the four images into a single PNG file, I uploaded it to ThingLink. I cut the backgrounds out with a graphics editor, played around with the brightness and contrast, and adjusted the colour balance of the cow to bathe it a Warholian purple.
