each can produce awesome eLearning content that will be enhanced if you include voiceover audio. We use either the Sennheiser PC 163D headset USB mic or the  Rode Podcaster USB mic. Others in our group prefer the Rode Podcaster. On occasion I record voiceovers at home on my laptop. I have a radio background so I do the voice overs. While you have to hold it manually, there's no variation in voice. by Kevin Siegel.

I was impressed with the effort that goes into recording good audio for eLearning (I always thought that people plugged in a USB mic to their laptop and recorded the voiceover audio :)). captivate podcast. We used this consistently across the USB microphones, despite the best practice of adjusting the level to your voice and needs. For our tests, we wanted to capture the difference between male and female voices. Overall, some mics did perform better for a male voice, and some for a female voice. Do note, that with some post-processing, or by adjusting your equalization on your mixing board you can optimize any of these mics for any voice type.
