“No one will every say that you’re sharing too much value, you’re providing too much help, or that you care too much.” – Brian Fanzo @iSocialFanz
Today I am in Cincinnati for the Greater Cincinnati ATD chapter’s annual conference! Pete Brown (@PeteBrownSays) are going to share some of our experiences with microlearning and I’m also leading a table talk about some of the things L&D should be stealing from marketing. Here are some things you should consider stealing from the world of learning, design & technology. I hope you have a great weekend!
Our Job is to Find and Fix Problems
Patti Shank (@pattishank) reminds us that our primary job is not to design content, although we may do so. Rather, our primary job is to analyze problems, create solutions that meet the real need, and monitor how well these solutions are doing so we can tweak or change them.

Six Mindset Shifts Trainers Should Make
In this article Gary Klein (@KleInsight) relates that while most trainers mean well, they are holding on to mistaken beliefs about cognitive skills. The research behind the science of learning
In this paper, Yana Weinstein (@doctorwhy), Christopher Madan (@cMadan), and Megan Sumeracki (@DrSumeracki) present a tutorial review of six learning strategies: dual coding, elaboration, concrete examples, spaced practice, interleaving, and retrieval practice.
