Are in-person workshops dead? How virtual learning can be as good as the real thing

In an evaluation of one of our recent virtual workshops completed by about half of participants (20 people), 85 percent said the effectiveness was about the same as that of an in-person workshop. Case 1: A workshop created for virtual delivery. We kept both of these things in mind as we developed the workshop content.

The worst presentations you can attend are those where the presenter reads out his PowerPoint to you without adding anything to it. The root of the problem is of course the lack of presenting skills from the presenter, but PowerPoint doesn’t really help. I do my share of presenting at workshops, webinars, conferences and expo’s.
