Failed to publish in HTML5 – Error: Internal Error

I am not able to publish one of my projects to computer (SWF/HTML5) though I have had no trouble publishing other similar projects which also have the same selections in publish settings or preferences under Edit and Quiz. I was able to publish this project in SWF only.  I read the instructions for publishing to LMS and posts related to this issue, checked file name, course ID, etc. but still cannot resolve the problem.

What could be the reasons for this internal error?

Thank you!

I have had this problem.  In my case, it turned out that I was using an “illegal” path.  In one case, the path contained a dollar sign ($) and in another, it contained a space. After that, I couldn’t change the default path and I kept getting the error message.

My solution: Physically move the files to an acceptable path and rename the file so it doesn’t contain any “illegal” characters.  Reboot the machine to clear memory.
