And it is compatible with a fair amount of software including many Adobe products such as Flash, Fireworks, and Photoshop. This can give more of a pen to paper approach to creating graphics, which for me is a big advantage over creating graphics only with a mouse.

That said, there are things we can do to create a more productive partnership with our IT brethren. However, as with most IT departments, they are in big demand and dedicating the resources that are asked of them is challenging. Know Who does What - Get to know the people in IT, each person's responsiblities and their specific expertise.

I look forward to future versions of this Google Labs product. FYI: I did find great results when I did a top level search for the words "pottery shard," but I could have done this in Google Images which showed the same results. So, although not perfected it is a useful option to searching images on Google.

I had the right subject matter experts (SMEs), all with the expertise needed, and not too many to be productive or reach a reasonable consensus. "You put together a committee to build a horse and get a camel." That is what I have been going through with my SMEs. The bigger problem is they all want to throw more content into the course.

In addition, I made a great connection with an expert in film production. I can opt out of buying professional video lighting and buy everyday fluorescent surface mounts and put them on a stand. But I worry about having noisy, flickering, fluorescent lights. He gave me advice on putting this together inexpensively.
