This organization predominantly has Macs and would like to use something like Articulate or Captivate to: "convert our existing Powerpoint trainings, include quizes, track responding, track time spent enaged, insert Quicktime movies and deploy via the web." I was just asked a question and was a bit at a loss for a response.

The numbers clearly indicate that is on the fast track for real growth in the coming year. . Adding video via YouTube or mp4 or Quicktime or whatever has been in place for a long time. I don’t care if it is only three tracks and basic, include it. The magic 8 ball is a fun item to use. Sure, you have the same probability of forecasting by tossing a penny in the air, but for some folks the magic 8 ball is a soothsayer. For my forecasts, the magic 8 ball does not apply.

Has it established a proper track record? You may want to ensure that learner progress is able to be tracked in great detail. Joe: Prezi is a great tool for presentations, but I don’t see it as a tool that I would use to create eLearning that is nonlinear and which tracks progress well enough for the learning to make sense. Eventually, we were able to do away with that hardware player when QuickTime and other digital video formats became available.
