New E-Learning Rankings: Authoring Tools

Vendors can move up, down or out of the rankings – after all it is on-going. Listings can always be found on a new page called “rankings” which will appear in one month – thus eliminating the need to do a search (if applicable). I always prefer going from 10 to 1, it builds excitement. #10: The new iSpring Pro 7 – currently in beta adds additional powerhouse features, including PPT to HTML5 output (which right now is a standalone product). #8

Being Thankful: E-Learning Thoughts

A time to get together, relax and over gorge on food – whatever it might be. You watch a couple of football games, normally including the lousy Lions (not this year, though) and grumble to yourself whether you should eat that last piece of pumpkin pie or not (I always eat it). It is also a time to be thankful. Thus, it makes only sense to present my list of “thanks” from an e-learning perspective. If someone is interested they will reach out to you.

Authoring Tools- The DevLearn Experience

I readily admit that I was unsure what to expect. I suspected that the expo would feature a large quantity of rapid content authoring tools. From products that ranged from the latest versions of RCATs to new vendors in the space, including text to speech. . In the demo at their booth, they readily showed numerous avatars, and it would have been very cool to see the true synch experience – something that Storyline cannot do.

One of the most useful aspects of DevLearn is the Vendor Expo. Here's Jackie stabbing wildly at an LMS voodoo doll.And here is a quick summary of the exhibitors who caught our attention.ZebraZapps – Allen Interactions made a big stripy splash at last year’s Devlearn , announcing their plans for a new cloud based approach to content development and asking volunteers to sign up for beta testing. The resulting learning objects can then be published to a web site or the cloud.
