In the past, when I was marketing Paradiso LMS software, I saw literally thousands of various types. Because Word encourages more deliberate submissions, including visuals, diagrams, and in-depth responses than Excel does, I choose Word-based LMS RFP examples.

Excel does a superb job of recording binary responses and makes comparing vendors simple. It does, however, leave a lot of opportunity for vendor interpretation of requirements and frequently fails to provide use cases to demonstrate how features interact. The challenge of vendor qualification is increased by this incomplete picture.
