My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. Saba - A solid system, but IMO (in my opinion) better suited for talent/performance management. Any vendor will do that – regardless of setup fees.

If you believe for one moment, that “training or as known in the e-learning community: “learning” is not going to continue to fall under HCM systems for vendors who have talent management systems that offer “compensation, benefits, recruiting” and alike, you may be interested in some swamp land in Florida. What I like about conferences is the ability to see the latest products and hear the pitches from the vendors. Yet, for all that do it, their are equal number of vendors who do not. Vendors who do not have anyone in their booth, during expo times – I see this at all shows, regardless of the product or market; but at e-learning/training shows you see it a lot OR you see them eating in their booth. Folks seem fine with the vendor noting how awesome their support is, without extracting any metrics or verifiable data. . And I ask it often when talking to vendors. I have asked vendors to complete a Support Card , and many have. Saba the same thing.

CrossKnowledge Learning Suite – I’m always surprised at the number of folks who never even consider CrossKnowledge, especially those who want a very good UI and UX. Cornerstone Learning Suite – NexGen Top Tier, Front end UI is solid – better than ever before, but still needs some tweaks. Saba Cloud – Saba is such a wild card here.

These are being reported out of the larger eLearningGuild population and I would claim that they are likely more accurate than survey research that goes through the vendors themselves. Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. They are moving towards a broader suite that focuses on other aspects of Talent Management. However, I would be concerned if I was a starter LMS vendor because Moodle is going to cause you grief in the bottom of the market.

Although after talking to several vendors, irritation seemed to be a part of their response to me. Estimate 55% e-learning related content, including e-learning vendors and ILT vendors who added a “virtual training” component as part of their offerings. To me, many more LMS vendors than in the past, especially some newbies I’ve never seen attend the show. Great to see Saba attend the event. Expo vendor pick up in terms of leads and traffic.

Workforce management is vague and ambiguous enough to do well in 2020, albeit for learning it would seem to me that workforce enlightenment would be better suited, unless you plan to incorporate additional HCM functions into your learning system, which of course, will place you completely into the segment of SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, SumTotal, Saba Cloud, Talentsoft among others. I know of vendors who tell me they are not in the content business. I love forecasts.
