You can import  wav's  or  mp3's.  However, I wouldn't use this technique for voiceover audio.   As for voiceover audio, I don't recommend that you add it to a project as the background.   Object-level audio is ideal if you want to quickly add sound effects to slide objects.

In Adobe Captivate 5, you simply choose Audio > Import to > Background and open the audio file (wav or mp3). One of the options missing from RoboDemo and older versions of Captivate was the ability to control the volume of the background audio on slides that already had audio (voiceover audio for instance).

Just type your voice over text into presenter notes, and upload it to Narakeet, and it will create your slideshow with voiceover.
