ARTICULATE STORYLINE 360: Text-to-Speech to Final Voiceover

The Logical Blog by IconLogic

The dealy was particularly problematic because several slides had image builds that had to be synchronized with the voiceover audio. While these kinds of delays are common, they don't need to derail the entire development process.   To keep the project moving forward, I copied the voiceover script into the Notes window on each Storyline slide.     From within the Insert Text-to-Speech window, I clicked the Copy From Slide Notes button.

Save Time Using Text to Speech in Captivate 9

eLearning Brothers

As Instructional Designers and eLearning developers, we like to set the mood for our courses through the use of various types of elements. We use graphics instead of text to spark our learners’ interest, we incorporate interactivity to keep them engaged, and we add video and audio to bring life to our courses. One facet of design that is often overlooked or willfully ignored is that of adding the spoken word to our eLearning design.

Text To Speech Synthesizers

The eLearning Coach

This is how you start to think about voice characters after listening to them through text to speech synthesizers (TTS). When Adobe included a text to speech application in Captivate 4, I began to think that TTS might be a viable option in certain situations. Of course computer-generated voices do not have the warmth and richness of a human voice, nor can they display the range of talents found in a skilled narrator.

Rise Against Robotic Voice-Overs
