Liz Loutfi: I’d love to just talk a little bit about measurement for a second, as it’s something that’s super top of mind for learning leaders especially. Maybe we can go back to the KPMG Globerunner program because it’s a good example of such a successful program. What outcomes did you choose to measure from the Globerunner and why? And then just overall, if you could recommend what, or like what metrics matter in your opinion for gamification?
Christian Gossan: For, us going from those core problems, again, it was something that was boring, that was unmeasured. And not scalable. So we surveyed everybody that played, we were doing everything possible to understand whether the proof of concept was working or not.
Were people enjoying the experience? Because we were hoping that, if they’re enjoying it, they’d be more engaged in doing it. And then secondly, did we see an improvement in the baseline awareness to a level of improved awareness? That always popped up at about over a bit over 20 percent.
And then thirdly, which was a little bit harder to measure, we were able to then look at how many people were going through as well. That’s important for stakeholders.
Measurement and data is a really big part of these digital experiences because you’re getting so much in the backend versus doing a face-to-face experience where it’s hard to measure things.
