Only a month left to MoodleMoot Global 2023

The countdown begins! We are looking forward to welcoming you to MoodleMoot Global 2023 (#MootGlobal23), the most awaited event of the year. #MootGlobal23 will be held in the picturesque city of Barcelona from 19–21 September.

The event will provide a range of professional learning and networking opportunities, combining:

  • Keynote presentations from leading industry experts who will share their insights and vision for the future of learning. 
  • Community sessions featuring presentations from the Moodle community.
  • Moodle Partners and sponsors share their expertise and efforts to promote lifelong learning.
  • Workshops and hands-on sessions.

Introducing a new keynote speaker Rakhat Zholdoshalieva

We are delighted to announce that Rakhat Zholdoshalieva will join MoodleMoot Global as a keynote speaker on Day 2. She is a Team leader for Quality Learning Ecosystems Programme at the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) in Hamburg, Germany. In her role, Rakhat directs initiatives and projects on literacy, educators, and lifelong learning technologies. She led the launch of UIL’s Learning Hub in 2021, a multimedia online platform that offers policy guidance, capacity building, and knowledge exchange opportunities for lifelong learning. With a PhD from the University of Toronto, she specialises in education policy, teacher training, and more. Rakhat brings over a decade of global experience and is a trained teacher from Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan’s Aga Khan University.

In her keynote, Rakhat will focus on the theme of ‘Lifelong Learning: Past, present and future’. She will also discuss the UN and UNESCO’s efforts in advancing global goals and initiatives related to lifelong learning.

Speakers and participants will also share tales from the community where they will cover a range of topics, from developing and customising Moodle to fit every users’ unique needs to managing Moodle as an open-source platform.
