Yes, I do have that version.

I had to redo the whole slide.

Interestingly, the “submit” button appeared on another project whilst on preview mode, without showing on the timeline…. On both occasions, the previous slide is a quiz.

A default quiz slide? Was the ghost submit button in exactly the same location as on the quizzing master slide?

I may be wrong, but to me it looks that the Submit button on quiz slides is much closer to the bottom of the slide than the one shown on this content slide.

Personally I never had this experience, but you are not the first one to post this problem. Did you ever have a Text Entry Box which you deleted later? It is not possible to have a TEB on the master slide, no reason to look there. It also cannot be timed for the rest of the project.

Are ou on CP2019, version 11.0.1.266?
