We received news yesterday that one of our summer interns, Sean Keefer, passed away earlier this week. Sean was a freshman at George Washington University and has interned with OpenSesame on our development team since the summer of 2012. We are deeply saddened by this news, as Sean was a wonderful coworker and friend.
In the time Sean spent as an intern with us, he grew to be a talented web developer, well-respected by his peers and trusted with important projects. Much of the code he wrote is used today in running our customer service metrics. He came to our offices ready to work—after school, during breaks, even giving up most of his summers to contribute to our team. He helped train many of our other development interns and had a bright future as an engineer.
Our thoughts are with Sean’s family, his friends and those who had the pleasure, like we did, to experience his many talents and share in his happy moments.
