School is back in session, and we’re heading back to class ourselves with a full slate of conferences on the calendar. We’ll be teaching a few classes, reconnecting with friends and customers and learning along the way. Check out what we have on our schedule. If you will be at any of these conferences, let us know! We’d love to meet up.

TechLearn 2023 – 1st period

Sept. 19-21, New Orleans, LA

Hosted by Training magazine, TechLearn23 promises to be a fully interactive few days. I’m excited to be leading the session “One Platform Won’t Rule Them All: Centralizing Learning Content” on Thursday, Sep 21st from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Bonus? It’s in New Orleans, and I love a good ghost tour.

DevLearn 23 – 2nd period

Oct. 25-27, Las Vegas, NV

A perennial favorite, DevLearn always has a jam-packed schedule of sessions, and it’s a great chance to connect with industry experts and many of our customers. The Rustici team will be manning our booth (#706) and sharing knowledge in a few sessions.

Wednesday, Oct. 25th from 10:10 a.m. – 10:40 a.m. – I’ll be kicking off the Expo from the Live from DevLearn Learning Stage to share some best practices for scaling product training. You’ll hear how Alarm.com uses Content Controller to safeguard an owner’s property, protect their own training content, and gain visibility into how their courses are used across their extensive partner and reseller network. Register in advance to receive access to the livestream and the recording.

Friday, Oct. 27th from 7:30 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. – Have a cup of joe with Joe Donnelly in a casual Morning Buzz session on “Planning for Learning Tech Procurement” to hear best practices and discuss the topic with industry peers.

Friday, Oct. 27th from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Chris Tompkins and Joe will wrap things up in their session “Navigating Common Learning Standards: How to Stay Out of Trouble” where they’ll help you make sense of all of the standards and understand when and why to use each.

I/ITSEC – 3rd period

Nov. 27-Dec. 1, Orlando, FL

The largest modeling, simulation and training event in the world, I/ITSEC is an exciting conference that brings together industry, the military and the educational communities. We always enjoy meeting up with a wide variety of clients and fellow standards experts at this event. Brian Miller will once again be leading the “Modernize Your Training by Migrating Legacy SCORM Content to cmi5” tutorial on Monday, Nov 27th from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. in the Managing Learning Data – xAPI Essentials and Strategies track.

Will we see you this fall at one of our sessions or on the conference floor?

Tammy knew what SCORM was several years before joining Rustici Software, and she’s not even a standards geek. She’s the Managing Director and leads our company with a passionate commitment to caring for our people and customers. She’s also an Iron(wo)Man many times over.
