DevLearn 2022 will be here before we know it, and I’m especially excited as it will be my first year going! I’ve helped prepare our team for this conference the past several years, and now get to experience it myself. And what a year to go! It’s great to see in-person conferences have a resurgence of attendees and all the faces we’ll see new and old. We can’t wait to see everyone later this month so read on for all the exciting sessions and booth activities we have planned.

Speaking of sessions

You can catch us speaking a couple times about trust and security in eLearning and content distribution, so be sure to add our sessions to your schedule.

xAPI User Conference

On Tuesday, October 25th, we’ll be speaking at the new xAPI User Conference co-located at DevLearn, which will showcase the best and latest innovations powered by xAPI. Brian Miller, our Director of Engineering, will be leading a session on the considerations for data handling, privacy and security. The last few years has seen an explosion of interest in cybersecurity subjects, such as privacy, authentication, identity management, etc. More and more, this topic seems to be at the forefront of people engaging in the eLearning community, but there are limited resources on the subject, and to a degree, limited options available to achieve the goal.

Live from DevLearn Learning Stage

We’ll be going live from the DevLearn Expo on Wednesday, October 26th, at 10:10am. Tammy Rutherford, our Managing Director, and long-time customer, Dan deBeaubien from SANS Institute, have a Learning Stage session titled, “RIP to Manual Course Packaging: How SANS Streamlines Content Distribution”. If you’re buried in work from managing a growing course catalog, you’ll want to uncover how delivering and maintaining training across multiple systems doesn’t have to leave you feeling like a zombie. You’ll hear how SANS uses Content Controller to save hundreds of administration hours, ensure accuracy for high risk content, protect intellectual property and gain visibility into course utilization. New for 2022, our session will be live streamed directly from the DevLearn Expo for those that can’t make it! Register in advance to receive free access to the livestream and the recording.

Find us at booth #801

This year is slated to be the largest DevLearn Expo yet! With over 140 vendors, be sure to stop by our booth #801. Every year, we put our creative minds together to plan for our booth’s campaign. This year’s theme is “Level up your learning with a plug and play ecosystem” with a Tetris-inspired, retro gaming design. We’ll have comfy chairs to discuss your learning challenges like how your learning ecosystem “stacks” up and whiteboards ready to sketch out how your content and platforms can play nicely together. And we’ll have Joe Donnelly on hand to answer all of your questions on eLearning standards and help customers resolve support inquiries. We’ve even got a fun giveaway with Joe’s face for his growing fan club.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get to know our team of learning technology experts. I’ll be joining Tammy Rutherford, Joe Donnelly, Brian Miller, Tim Edwards, and Peter Overton in Las Vegas, and we would love to meet you face to face. So if you’re planning on attending DevLearn, let us know! We’d love to schedule a time to connect during the conference.
