Last week, I attended DevLearn. I knew that its core audience would be instructional designers and e-learning developers. . Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. Not only was it quite present at DevLearn, but in general, this is one of the new “hot” items in the space.

Fear of the Mobile Bogeyman aka HTML5. Yet when it comes to m-learning and HTML5 output, it is as though you are eating stale candy from 1997 shoved into your bag by an unsuspecting neighbor. The spin around this of course is to say “we have mobile learning” but it is accessing via the mobile web browser.

Feature sets – they have to be more than PPT to Flash or add an audio clip and video clip to the course. Mobile Learning/HTML5 output – doesn’t hurt and has to be considered. It pitches that it is a m-learning product because it supports HTML5. It doesn’t output to HTML5, though. #8
