Over the past few years we had big leading topics in the world of learning; Curating, Mobile, Flash vs HTML5, TinCan. Everybody now understands that Flash is dead (no matter how unbelievable that seemed a year and a half ago). Since easygenerator is a LCMS the future still looks bright. ICE ASTD 2013.

I’m not completely sure what to think about this year’s Learning Solutions conference, for us as a vendor it was a good show, a lot of interest in easygenerator and our free edition , and a nice bunch of solid leads and I was able to do some great networking. Conference wrap up. As far as the conference goes I’m less positive.

Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. easygenerator’s new survey tool is SurveyMonkey. HTML5: Must be a Fad. The number of vendors who can publish to HTML5, are four. . The next version of Articulate Studio will output to HTML5. I believe that is going to change.

Feature sets – they have to be more than PPT to Flash or add an audio clip and video clip to the course. Mobile Learning/HTML5 output – doesn’t hurt and has to be considered. It pitches that it is a m-learning product because it supports HTML5. It doesn’t output to HTML5, though. #8
