It can be used as standalone asset; the viewer only needs a mp4 player which is available on each system. Workflow 3: Software simulations. At this moment the biggest problem with software simulations are the slides which cannot be interactive because they show mouse movements/scrolling/dragging.

Articulate Storyline can also be a good choice for developing simulation based online learning courses.
