The majority of vendors will continue, regardless of what you espouse. Now, if you want employee learning only, and you go to a vendor who only does customer training, then the initial “use case” rejection (politely) is understandable. The vendor is Skill Jar. The vendors really need to know more about the use case.

LMS vendors are continuing to add some very unique features in an effort to set themselves apart from the competition. Desktop sharing (appears with a few vendors). Immediate multilingual personalization -i.e. Section 508 (still shocking at the lack of vendors that fail to offer this feature). Guess what some vendors do.

These are being reported out of the larger eLearningGuild population and I would claim that they are likely more accurate than survey research that goes through the vendors themselves. Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. I personally feel that Moodle is good at the limited stuff it does.
