In 2014, I believe it will be the year of video for consumers in e-learning, specifically with content and as a one off on that – in the LMS.

Animate – Adding two more themes in 2014, adding the capability to do “Team Collaboration” when creating a presentation (I don’t know the correct term they use) – but you can have multiple people working on the soon to be animation – in different locations. E-Learning 24/7 . Product Additions.

And you must have it by mid 2014. No surprise that some vendors are also waiting to see what happens. M-Learning with a native app – slowly trucking along, but I am hearing quite a few vendors who are either in development or getting going in 2014. I have those every weekend, so why as an adult learner do I want it as a benefit to learning? Another one on the rise for LMS vendors and honestly, e-learning vendors as a whole. The majority of systems cannot track the video to the extent of say a learner in a course. E-Learning 24/7.

Estimate 55% e-learning related content, including e-learning vendors and ILT vendors who added a “virtual training” component as part of their offerings. To me, many more LMS vendors than in the past, especially some newbies I’ve never seen attend the show. E-Learning 24/7.

Even with products that are typically classroom based – some were including mobile learning capabilities. If I was to place an estimate on it – it would 50% e-learning. I suspect it will go up more in 2014. Sales training – It was huge, especially with mobile learning and gamification products.
