Adobe Captivate is a great tool for creating rapid eLearning with features like screen capture, power point import, full motion recording, custom skins and players, automatic text captioning, etc. Dreamweaver CS5 comes with improved PHP support for custom classes. The considerations mentioned here would, however be applicable to any other (development technologies) eLearning player too. You’d no longer need to learn specialized skills like Flash and ActionScript. The key point was that it didn’t matter what underlying technology drove the content, the next generation course designer could build e-elearning with no programming skills required.
