Some vendors won’t use SCORM because it takes time to add and implement it. I wanted to dive more into the course standard discussion, and the exploration of which to use and why you must use it. Many vendors mention they have SCORM. SCORM is not easy to learn. It is SaaS-based, which to me, is a must. was born.

Challenge to Learn

Thanks to the TinCan API (now renamed into ‘experience API’) the technique is ahead of us (learning developers and vendors). On day one of our series, we learned that AICC (Aviation Industry Computer-Based-Training Committee) can be considered the first eLearning standard, used to track how learners progress through course content. While many eLearning vendors still support AICC, the standard is usually a legacy of older platforms and businesses.

ASTDTK14 zoomed into Vegas last week with about 60 vendors (est.) On the expo side, and I know ASTD Events are going to disagree with me (err, they already have via Linkedin), I wasn’t overly impressed on the number of vendors’ booths. Conferencing vendors – Were there any? Wi-Fi for booth vendors was horrible.
