ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning). This is a branch of eLearning that involves training customers on how to use an organization’s product and/or service. The primary purpose of the LTI standard, created by the IMS Global Learning Consortium, is to connect learning systems, such as an LMS, with external service tools.

LETSI is a new organization with worldwide sponsorship to whom ADL will be handing over stewardship of SCORM. Learning Tools Interoperability is a standard created by the IMS Global Learning Consortium. The server only needs to provide whatever information the client needs to interact with the service.
