Getting Started with Online Member Education

Association eLearning

Way back when I was just a marketing minion working in development at a nonprofit, I used to attend workshops and classes that would help me learn more about my industry. Although I didn’t join the associations that put these things on, I voraciously ate up the content they were offering, as often as my employer would allow me to attend. I have since moved on, from marketing minion to marketing maven, but have never forgotten the associations that taught me a thing or two.

RF, Please…Why an RFP Isn’t the Best Method For Choosing an LMS Vendor

Association eLearning

Analyst John Leh says there are 700 LMS vendors in the industry. They wouldn’t twist yes or no questions on an RFP to try to find a way to interpret that question so they can say yes, right? Except that their service, once you have their shiny new LMS, stinks. They don’t get back to you with support issues, the system is buggy, the integrations are expensive, and there’s no one there to walk you through setting up a course because that’s not a technical support issue.
