Okay, the first day of ASTD TK13 has wrapped up – at least from the expo side of the house. It can be embed into your web site, added to your LMS, but to me the real awesomeness is the ability to add into any authoring tool. Thursday: Recap day two of the ASTD TK13 show, including expo. TOUCHDOWN.

The site lets you build simple surveys. If even you don’t use the Urtak site, there’s something in how it’s structured that can help in your own course design. The design allows creators to embed a variety of graphic sources to enhance users´ experiences. While the site is user friendly, there have been some reports that playing videos may prove problematic. This cloud-based LMS provides a space for creating a variety of online courses. The built-in certification feature is a plus!

Several of them actually just embed non-interactive videos in HTML code. Check out this webcast from ASTD covering Qualcomm case studies). Also, when delivering something designed for learning on mobile devices keep the context in mind: How much time will they be able to spare when accessing a particular site/app?

In a recent activity, they had all of the restaurant greeters videotape their best customer greeting and then upload the videos to their internal video site. The employee videos were highlighted creating an environment where people were looking for videos and the recognition their team or site would get. Louis (ASTD).

Then I suggest getting inspiration from web design sites. While it’s not an option for everybody, if you can use Screenr videos for your training here are a few ideas: You can insert the Screenr video in PowerPoint using the developer tab and inserting the.SWF link from the embed code. Screenr gives you an embed code.

This is a good place to start especially since they’ve recently updated the site. Stock Image Sites. There are a dozens of stock image sites where you can buy low cost images. There are many sites that give away open source content or images under creative commons licenses. Free Assets. Connect with the Community.
